TRIPLE BILL NDA
1.CLASSICAL BALLET AND REPERTOIRE
All NDA faculty are ex professional ballet dancers from some of the most important ballet companies in Europe. Our ballet classes are technically challenging and based on particular teaching style of one of the greatest teachers in Spain, Carmen Roche. A former dancer with Maurice Bejart and a founder director of the MUDRA school, Carmen Roche developed an unique teaching is based on the excellent working method and her very high demanding level.
2.NACHO DUATO REPERTOIRE
The unique style developed by Duato is expressive, fluid, and fast. It is fully contemporary in spirit but utilizes a strong base of classical ballet and insists on turn-out, pointed feet, and the graciousness that classical dance gives the dancer. Former dancers of the Nacho Duato Company that have worked with the choreographer for more than 20 years, will teach the students some of the very highlights of the Spanish choreographer’s repertoire.
3. ESCUELA BOLERA
Escuela Bolera originated as a fusion of popular Spanish dances and ballet, full of great technical complexity. At present, Escuela Bolera is one of the most difficult styles of Spanish dance because of its swift steps and the necessity to be in possession of good classical ballet technique. Students will experience Escuela Bolera with one of the greatest dancers in Spain, Aída Gómez.
